The True Taste of CDMX: A Market Adventure & Cooking Experience

Coming to Mexico City in 2026 for the best tacos, tamales and Mexican food? Let us show you where the magic begins.

We know you're dreaming of those perfect street tacos. But what if you could create that magic yourself? In this experience, you won't just eat—you’ll become the chef. Learn to craft authentic tacos with ingredients you can find anywhere, master the art of delicious tamales (and yes, now you know—it's tamal!), and unlock the pre-Hispanic origins of these wonders through a hands-on, complex recipe.

Return home with the ultimate Mexico City souvenir: the skill to cook like a true Mexicano and wow everyone at your next dinner party. This isn't just a meal; it's a story you'll tell for years.

We get it. Planning your 2026 trip to Mexico City can be overwhelming. Every other listing promises an "authentic" and "unique" experience. So how do you choose?

We do things differently. We don't just sell tours—we extend an invitation into our community. Our experiences are born from real CDMX life: the streets we love, the food we cherish, and the gatherings with friends. This isn't a scripted show; it's us sharing our home with you.

You’re not just booking a tour or a cooking class for 2026. You’re accepting an invitation to connect, create, and celebrate with new friends.

We’d be honored to welcome you to our table and show you the true flavor of Mexico City.

What we'll do

Promoting local economy with etical tours at Pachoa Xochimilco's Tour

Walk around historical neighborhoods

Walk the hood, walk the market

We stitch together the stories of this city, from ancient roots to colonial vibes, independence hustle, revolutionary fire, and the modern beat. Forget the surface-level stuff. We're about genuine connections and real moments. Dive deep into the community, vibe with the locals, and get a true taste of everyday life. This is the real deal.

A MEXICO CITY COOKING CLASS

Every ingredient tells a story

We’ll gather around the table as true friends do, to savor the incredible feast we crafted together. This is more than a meal—it’s a celebration of flavor, friendship, and the stories shared over every bite and sip. This is how we feed both body and soul.

To make you feel truly at home, we’ll raise a glass and immerse you in the vibrant culture of mezcal. You'll sample 3 distinct artisanal mezcales, each telling the story of a different Mexican region—from the smoky highlands of Oaxaca to the sweet, agave-rich valleys of Durango. We’ll guide you through their unique notes and traditions, pairing each pour thoughtfully with the dishes we create.

"Sergio is one of Mexico City’s true treasures. He shows you the true beauty and authentic history of the stunning farmlands where Mexico was born. His knowledge knows no end and you leave him feeling like family. Don’t go unless you want the real, non-tourist exp of MC and really want to learn. Our best day here. This is the reason we travel."

  • Sarah says:

"Don’t miss this tour! I have long wanted to explore the chinanpas but didn’t know how. The fantastic host partners with local farmers and market merchants to offer a unique experience that you can’t get any other way. He guided us through the farms and canals, taught us about the history and present challenges of the area, and provided a beautiful shaded lunch in the market where I had some of the best food and salsas I’ve ever eaten. We ended with a pulque tasting in the market as well. The host is passionate and kind and the private transportation there and back was very comfortable. I feel like I’m a pretty savvy traveler and I don’t want a tour unless it’s really something I could never access by myself. This is that. Book now!"

"Excellent tour. Sergio was a great guide and had a ton of interesting information. Lunch was delicious, with a great selection of antojitos (small street food dishes) to try. Pickup and transport was easy and comfortable. Highly recommended way to see the real Xochimilco, away from the party boats."

"Sergio took us to the market, and some food stalls, where we ate sopes, quesadillas, tacos and much more (all delicious), all made from the produce of the chinampas. We saw part of the real Mexico, with no tourist traps or vendors! The food and drinks are all included in the trip."
